Goffman Special Issue: “Goffman on Gender, Sexism, and Feminism: A Summary of Notes on a Conversation with Erving Goffman and My Reflections Then and Now” by Mary Jo Deegan

In 1977 Mary Jo Deegan had the opportunity to talk with Erving Goffman about gender, sexism and feminism. Her contribution “Goffman on Gender, Sexism, and Feminism: A Summary of Notes on a Conversation with Erving Goffman and My Reflections Then and Now” to the Special Issue on Goffman presents the content of her discussion with Goffman and reflect on the importance of Goffman’s thinking about these issues for the current developments in feminist sociological theory.
