Ethics and Ethnography (Book reviews) – Symbolic Interaction #sssi #sociology #ethnography

In light of the debate about Alice Goffman’s book there is currently a lot of discussion around ethics and ethnography. Over the past year or so Symbolic Interaction has published a few very relevant reviews of books discussing the opportunities and challenges of ethics boards, IRBs, and the social sciences.

Review of Will C. Van den Hoonaard’s “The Seduction of Ethics” out on Early View

A review of Ruth Horowitz’s “In the Public Interest” will be published very shortly.
