N. Sugrue on Putnam’s ‘Our Kids’ #sssi #sociology #bookreview

We have just published Noreen Sugrue’s review of Robert Putnam’s ‘Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis’. In her review titled “No, It Is Not Naive to Think Communities Matter” Sugrue argues that “Putnam’s concern, fear even, for our children is a wake up call to each of us” and that we should all “consider how your intellectual knowledge might become part of the public dialog that is required to solve the crisis Putnam so vividly puts before us.” Members of SSSI and subscribers of the journal can access the review by clicking the image below.
