New paper: ‘The Haunting of Shame: Autoethnography and the Multivalent Stigma of Being Queer, Muslim, and Single’ by Aliraza Javaid #sssi #sociology #stigma

We have just published a new article by Aliraza Javaid on Early View of Symbolic Interaction. In his article Aliraza examines multiple stigmas and dichotomies to illustrate the human lived experience of a gay Muslim single, who is silenced, invisibilized, and embodies a social life of “emptiness.” His research is based on an autoethnography.
