Review of Michael L. Rosino’s (@michaelrosino) “Debating the Drug War” by Michelle Smirnova (@michsmirnova) #sssi #sociology #drugs #race https://doi.org/10.1002/symb.564 @sociologylens

In her review Michelle Smirnova describes Michael L. Rosino’s “Debating the Drug War. Race, Politics, and the Media” as “thoughtfully designed with students in mind, introducing both sociological concepts and historical events as key terms that are clearly defined and explained. In doing so, the text helps illustrate how to conduct a qualitative frame analysis of a case study, by offering explicit methodological choices. This would be especially helpful for graduate or advanced undergraduate students undertaking their own independent research.
