Symbolic Interaction has just published a new article St. Clair Drake, the Chicago School, and the Emergence of a New Urban Black Perspective” in which Roger Salerno discusses the particular ethnographic approach and studies of St. Clair Drake who was educated, amongst others by Robert Park and Ernest Burgess at the Chicago School of Sociology while his work was indebted also to W. E. B. Du Bois and E. Fanklin Frazier.
